Craig'sList of how to SELL well

Yesterday saw Craig Wortmann (http://www.salesengine.com/) deliver an excellent day of lectures on the importance of selling and how every entrepreneur needs to know how to sell and how to sell well.

I came away with a huge appreciation for this often neglected area of business. He instilled incredible excitement in me and my ideas for business. Sales is a psychological game for peoples people. It makes or breaks your business and ultimately brings in that all important revenue.
He asked us to write down the one biggest fear we had concerning sales. Mine came straight away - REJECTION. I was pleased to see some other scholars had written the same!
Here are two quotes from the day that I really liked:

"If an evening event is free but it's mid week and raining outside then the punters won't come, but if the event had cost them $1000 then they'll come. They'll come because they've got skin in the game."

                                                                                                                 Craig Wortmann
and one from Tim Ferriss, Author of the 4hr Work Week:

"Being busy is most often used as a guise for avoiding the few critically important but uncomfortable actions"

                                                                                                                         Tim Ferriss

So, on that note - i've decided to stop avoiding awkward situations and get good at sales or at least practise until i'm no longer afraid of rejection!
