Founded in March 2005, and operating in the United Kingdom and Lithuania, Lime Microsystems has developed the technology behind ‘one transceiver for multiple bands, multiple standards.' This transceiver supports a variety of different standards and frequencies - important in an age when these are constantly emerging or changing - which makes them extremely valuable to makers of small cell basestations, a technology which many predict will be central to next-generation home communications.
Lime Microsystems has been based in SETsquared's Incubator Unit for three years and highly values the environment and the support it provides. Philippe Roux, VP of Business Development for Lime Microsystems, explains: "We use SETsquared every day, it's as simple as that, and we are very happy with the support they provide. Whilst such practical help is vital to any business, has Philippe's company taken advantage of the other business development services that SETsquared offers? "SETsquared is very proactive: they are continuously proposing meetings with people who could help us.
"We had a meeting with a mentor who was connected to the University of Surrey, and he was able to put us in touch with the PCB manufacturers from that marketplace. That was an extremely valuable contact.
"We also appreciate that SETsquared can put us in front of the VC community and a whole variety of business mentors, when we need that sort of development or advice. With SETsquared behind us, we know we are not alone."
