Date:
Friday, 21 September, 2012 (All day)

Free open clinics: Time slots available - 9.30am, 10.15am, 11.00am, and 11.45am

Simon Clark and Ian Matthews from Kingston Smith Accountants are coming to the Surrey Technology Centre (STC) to offer any of you a free 45 minute open financial clinic session. They are happy to talk though, for example, the financial basics of running a business, tools that you are using to get the most understanding of your business or higher level discussions about business plans or managing cash flow during a period of growth.

Introduction to Xero software - 1.00pm - 1.30pm

Sometimes real business decisions are made without a full understanding of the financial picture – this can be catastrophic. Simon and Ian will be here to show you Xero, a market leading accounting system that puts entrepreneurs back in control of their finances.

They will be providing a half hour “introduction to Xero” session from 1.00 pm until 1.30 pm – it is free to come along to and may be the taster you need to see what tools are out there to help your business grow.

For the more experienced ones of you who already use Xero or would just like to know more, Simon and Ian will follow on the introduction session with “Xero – Q & As” from 1.30pm until 2.30pm – this is again free to attend and will be an open training forum for them to show you some more advanced uses of the system and to answer any questions you have. This will be a practical session so all questions are welcome.

Bite-sized briefing - 4.30pm - 4.40pm

For those of you who would like a bite-size brief on relevant information to you, Simon will be delivering a 10 minute technical slot at the end of their visit to the Centre – For their June visit he will give an overview on the new Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) so you are up to speed on the rules, criteria and most importantly the timing to entice the right investor at the right time.  It will just be a short presentation from 4.30pm until 4.40pm and anyone is welcome is come along – Simon and Ian will then be around to answer any questions you have on the subject.
