SETsquared Student Enterprise pitching event

 

SCHEDULE:

2pm

Start - Welcome & intro from FIG founder James King - Room 1 

2:30pm

“How to pitch” presentation by Simon Hill (Who saw huddle through 2 rounds of funding in excess of $15m) - Room 1 

3pm

The students will be able to use a 30 minute break for refreshments, continue some networking or for some last-minute pitching practice. FIG Village is also home to PowerPlates, who have working machines in and around the warehouse gym.  
During this time, student-businesses will learn which of the 3 parallel sessions they’ll be pitching in and in what order.
Students will be given 5 minutes to present their idea, followed by a Q&A from the judges and audience.
 

3:30 - 5:30pm

The 3 panel sessions begin the first of 8 pitches at 3:30

Room 1 - largest presentation groups
Room 2 [Powerplates boardroom] - Smaller groups (power plates board room)
Room 3 [FIG Boardroom] - individual pitches with NDA fears
 

5:30 - 5:40pm

Afterwards, the judges from each session will deliberate and choose what they believe to be the most investable team from each room.
Dave Jarman, Head of Enterprise Education at the University of Bristol, will debrief the days events and lessons learned.
 

5:40 - 6:15pm

At this point, James King will announce of winners from each session, who will then re-present their idea in the pitching finale.
Judges will then leave to deliberate the team most deserving of the cash prize, and investors will close with some remarks about how investable the final teams were.
 

6:20pm

Event closing remarks from James King and encouragement to drink all the beer and wine they’ve brought.
