SETsquared in Surrey (Guildford)
The University of Surrey is a global university with a world-class reputation for its research and enterprise. The University also has a strong reputation for electronic engineering and is particularly well-known for its pioneering work in space and satellite technology. In addition world changing research has been conducted in vital fields such as safe water, sustainable energy, telecommunications, disease control and health. The University is also home to the first place in the world to test 5G technology, with the new centre expected to be completed by 2015.
The Surrey SETsquared Centre team is headed up by Sarah De'Lacy who is supported by Ben Partridge, Joan Moore and Charlotte Goff.
The Incubation Centre is based within the Surrey Technology Centre on the highly successful Surrey Research Park, which is a 70 acre site near the University of Surrey campus. The Surrey Research Park is widely regarded as one of the best examples of science parks in the UK with a highly proactive track record. The Incubation Centre offers high quality office space, with facilities such as meeting rooms, reception facilities, high speed broadband access and an on-site cafe.
Businesses can also graduate or move straight into the Surrey Technology Centre and still receive the business acceleration support we offer. Each unit within the Surrey Technology Centre is serviced to assist new businesses by providing facilities such as internet connectivity, telephone systems, meeting rooms, access to photocopiers, document preparation and postal facilities. This provides start-up or early stage businesses an excellent opportunity to move straight into their own office, in a prestigious environment without some of the significant costs associated with starting a businesses. The licences for units are also on a 30 days' notice period, allowing flexibility to grow or reduce costs rapidly when required.
Located close to the A3 on the outskirts of Guildford, we are served by excellent transport links to A3 and M25 and 30 minutes into Waterloo from Guildford train station. Heathrow and Gatwick international airports are both within 35 minutes drive.
