Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) are Europe's leading programme to help businesses improve their competitiveness and productivity through better use of the knowledge, technology and skills available within the UK knowledge base.
KTPs are a business support programme funded by the Technology Strategy Board along with 18 other funding organisations. They are open to SMEs and larger companies, and successfully unite university expertise and commercial innovation for the long-term benefit of the participating organisations.
KTPs, which can last between one and three years, utilise a high calibre graduate associate employed by the business to work under the supervision of a university academic on a project identified by the company partner. Graduate associates spend the majority of their time based at the company, but can also provide access to university expertise and facilities.
