Following on from the success of the last four years, together with the West of England Academic Health Science Network (AHSN), we are once again providing a comprehensive business support programme to healthcare and life sciences ventures.
This is an immersive and interactive 4-day training course where you will develop your business idea, analyse your market and potential customers, develop a compelling pitch and look at funding strategies. It culminates with the opportunity to pitch to a panel of investors and healthcare experts, who will provide invaluable feedback for you to take your business forward. Participation in this event is free of charge and supported by the West of England AHSN.
It also includes sessions on how to understand and explain the value that your product will bring to healthcare customers, the regulatory governance standards that have to be met to bring a product to the healthcare market and how to tap into the national schemes available to support the adoption of innovation.
You will have the opportunity to learn core skills in entrepreneurship and develop skills in the areas of:
The programme is designed for entrepreneurs with an idea for a health-based product or service, founders of early-stage ventures, more experienced entrepreneurs launching a new health-based product/venture and healthcare practitioners.
Priority will be given to applicants employed in the West of England AHSN geographical boundaries which covers Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. Applications from neighbouring areas may also be considered.
