About the Programme

Are you based in the West of England and developing low carbon technologies?

Or are you looking for ways to make your business and its products and services more sustainable?

If so, you could benefit from this fully funded specialist business and innovation support to help accelerate your growth.

Delivered by specialists in sustainable technology, there are two main strands to this programme:

  1. The opportunity to take part in a sustainability workout, an online workshop which helps you scrutinise your existing business model to look at how you could evolve it to access new markets, adopt new financials model, find new value by streamlining internal processes and as a business become more sustainable.
  2. A package of support from academic experts to help develop your technologies, products, services and business model.  This programme is rooted in the Centre for Sustainable & Circular Technologies at the University of Bath and depending on your business needs we can facilitate introductions for you to collaborate with experts from the University of Bath.

It could also lead to further university collaboration and support through our Scale-Up Programme.

If you are looking for ways to become more sustainable as a business, we’ll help you to do this without increasing your costs.

Who should apply?

This programme is open to applications from businesses in Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.

It’s open to companies developing low carbon or sustainable products and services from all sectors including but not limited to technologies addressing renewable energy, waste to energy, alternative fuels, recycling, water treatment, air pollution, carbon capture and storage, alternative fuel vehicles and building technologies.

We welcome applications from businesses which have previously taken part in the Sustainable Technologies Business Acceleration Hub This programme represents the next phase of support which further accelerate your company’s growth.

“It provided us with useful headspace to think more strategically about how we move forward with embedding circular and regenerative approaches further into our business model. This is a fast-moving area so checking that we are keeping track of wider developments, as well as hearing about other delegates’ journeys, has been time well spent.”

Linda Farrow, Director, Agile Property & Homes Limited
