Accelogress awarded £100k FrontierCities grant

SETsquared Surrey member, Accelogress Limited, has been awarded a grant from the European Union funded FrontierCities project to develop and trial a smart mobility solution in a UK High Street.

The project will run for a ten-month period and will help accelerate their technology and business development roadmap working in close collaboration with a partner town council.

This grant follows on from the successful development of Accelogress’s innovative parking app solution. Save-a-Space takes the stress out of parking by helping drivers find the optimal available parking space, close to their destination and with ease. On the other side of the coin, the cloud-based platform processes parking availability and user requests in real-time providing parking operators with insights to manage their parking operation more cost effectively, increase utilisation and to help them provide a better user experience for their customers.

Ralf Kernchen, Founder of Accelogress, says: “For our project to have been chosen out of nearly 600 other initiatives is a huge boost. As cities grow and expand, so will urban transportation systems. We need to make mobility smarter, more efficient, reliable and green. This funding will accelerate the development of our system, enabling us to trial it and hopefully take it to market much earlier then we had hoped.”
