Celebrating 20 years of enterprise, innovation and impact.
In the 2022 / 23 academic year, we celebrate SETsquared’s 20th anniversary.
What started as a partnership of four universities, originally Bath, Bristol, Southampton, and Surrey (with the University of Exeter joining in 2011 and Cardiff University joining in 2021), has grown into a vibrant innovation ecosystem which supports around 800 companies per year and provides entrepreneurial training to many more.
To mark this important milestone, we have commissioned an independent Impact Report to put a spotlight on the achievements of the amazing companies we’ve supported since 2002 – including contributing £15.7bn GVA to the UK economy, raising £3.9bn investment and creating 15,600 jobs.
Download the Impact ReportOn 1st December 2022, we hosted a special edition of our annual Investment Showcase, featuring pitches from 39 high tech, high-growth ventures, to celebrate our 20th anniversary year. That evening, we hosted an awards celebration evening to honour SETsquared-backed companies which are having a significant economic, environmental or social impact.
