Emilie has nearly a decade of experience in building and investing in university spinouts, as part of the Investment Committee at Parkwalk Advisors and previously at Oxford University Innovation, where she worked both in Investments and in leading the Startup Incubator, managing over 80 ventures from inception to exit. She moved into technology transfer after 14 years as a research scientist, directing pioneering experiments in systems neuroscience in Oxford, Bordeaux and Hamburg. Emilie holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Hamburg and an MBA from Warwick Business School, specialising in Strategy and Finance.

Dr Dan Hardy is the founder of Microsol, an aerosol technology company building a digital platform for inhaled and nasal drug delivery. It combines advanced particle characterisation with computational modelling, producing formulation and physiologically informed predictions.
Dan holds a PhD in physical chemistry from the University of Bristol, and went on to teach at the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Aerosol Science. His work has spanned particle engineering, drug delivery and airborne disease transmission, including instrument development and computational studies.
His doctoral research won both the Aerosol Society’s Doctoral Student and Doctoral Thesis awards. He is also a visiting fellow at Zinc, a venture capital firm backing mission-led companies.
