New member of SETsquared Surrey, Antaco UK Limited were selected by the panel as the winners of the UK venture competition hosted at the Royal College of Music in London on Wednesday 29th August 2012.

Antaco beat 6 other finalists and will now represent the UK in the European competition on the 1^st & 2^nd October where they will compete with the winners of 5 other European regions. 

The competition is designed to identify start up companies with real potential to deliver returns and have a substantial climate impact.

Dominik Peus, Managing Director of Antaco says “It is good to see that the experienced panel appreciates our ‘game-changing’ technology which turns biomass into a biocoal at very low cost. Our biocoal is carbon neutral and a 100% replacement for fossil coal. It also helps to solve waste problems. Capital costs to convert to our biocoal are much lower compared to wood pellets”.
