Are you looking to create an impact for your research and validate your ideas?

At SETsquared, we’ve supported academic teams for nearly ten years, helping them get their university research projects through the Innovate UK-funded ICURe Programme.

During this time, we have helped more than 250 spinouts get their innovations out of the door and into the market. Until now, we have primarily been supporting traditional research-intensive institutions to bring their engineering and health sciences to market, however, we can now extend our support to a broader group of institutions and disciplines.

This spring, we’re delivering an ICURe Explore cohort tailored to research teams working on innovations in semiconductors and associated areas. These programmes are open to all UK HEIs, of any size, and to researchers at any stage of their career (although PhD students should be close to or have submitted their thesis to best benefit from the programme)

About ICURe Explore

Explore is a 12-week full-time market exploration programme. It provides financial support of up to £35,000 for an Entrepreneurial Lead’s salary, assumption testing, and customer discovery activities. This programme is aimed at helping research teams from across the UK to explore technology applications and test value propositions through extensive market engagement globally.

Eligibility

This programme is sector-specific to Electronics, Semiconductors, Quantum & Associated Firmware – generally any research that could create a sustainable investment-ready business.
