Based at Hampshire’s home of science and innovation, this fast-paced and dynamic two days of training and networking will equip you with invaluable insights from expert mentors and the knowledge and tools to grow your business.
Built on Strategyzer’s Business Model Canvas, you’ll deep dive into your business model, value proposition, customer segmentation, channels for winning customers, and revenue model, helping you to build a strong foundation for a profitable and successful business. It’s designed to be very practical and hands-on, and you’ll be putting theory into practice on your own business/idea as well as other established business models.
The programme culminates in the opportunity to pitch your business model to a panel of experts and speed mentoring, giving you a wealth of valuable and objective feedback on your business or proposal.
The Entrepreneurs Workout is a supportive and inclusive business training programme, which is fully funded by the University of Southampton Science Park to help founders take their business or idea to the next stage.
It is a feeder programme to the highly acclaimed Catalyst Programme, also run at Southampton Science Park. Catalyst is designed to help fast-track innovation-led businesses in the Solent region. It is an intensive programme which runs over six months. On completion, you will have benefited from a mentoring and workshop learning programme with world-class business mentors and be equipped with the tools and connections you need to drive your business forward.
You can apply if you have an idea that could become a business, are a sole trader, or run an early-stage business, not-for-profit or social venture. There must be a technology, digital, or science element to your venture addressing any sector. You need big ambitions for business growth or impact and be ready and open to receive support and advice.
With a focus on ventures that have the potential to scale, the programme is not suitable for founders of consultancy businesses.
We particularly encourage applications from diverse founders, including those from ethnic minority backgrounds, LGBTQIA+, and founders with disabilities.
