WORLD LEADING BUSINESS SUPPORT
Bristol-based start-up tech company YellowDog, have won a prestigious Bristol Life Award at the inaugural 2017 event organised by MediaClash. The awards, in their first year, celebrated the very best of Bristol businesses and the progressive talent across all industries in the city.
YellowDog walked away with the Technology & Innovation award, for doing something else in the tech field that no one else is doing. The accolade was made all the more sweeter as the finalists in this category were incredibly diverse, all innovating differently in the tech world.
The company were crowned winners by a panel of independent judges due to their unique technology that harnesses and monetises underutilised computer power. The render pup dazzled the judges as they described YellowDog as “An impressive business at the intersection of tech and creative, with excellent funding to support their growth.”
Currently, YellowDog is delivering an unrivalled fast and cost controlled cloud rendering service to the animation, CGI and virtual reality industry. This super-compute power is both crowd- and cloud-sourced including using Oracle’s Bare Metal Cloud recording benchmark performance that is twice as fast as anything else in the marketplace.
YellowDog’s Founder and CEO, Gareth Williams accepted the award from compere and comedian Mark Watson, commenting:
“I’m over the moon YellowDog’s innovative rendering solutions has received such great recognition in our home city. It’s brilliant we won the award, especially as we were up against such a variation of quality competition. It was a fantastic evening alongside many inspirational people and companies. Well done to all of the finalists as well as the winners!”
