SETsquared Southampton member Senseye Limited, the leader in predictive maintenance software, announced it has raised £3.5 million at the close of a Series A funding round led by MMC Ventures, a venture capital fund investing in early stage, high growth companies. The round was also supported by existing investors Breed ReplyIQ Capital and Momenta Partners

Virtual Reality Blasts into Basingstoke

£8 million boost to expand ICURe research commercialisation programme

Warwick University and Queen’s University Belfast are to help researchers get commercially promising ideas to the marketplace more quickly thanks to an £8 million funding boost, Business Secretary Greg Clark has announced.

The universities will join the expanded Innovation to Commercialisation of University Research (ICURe) pilot programme, supported by Innovate UK. The programme offers university researchers with innovative ideas up to £35,000 to ‘get out of the lab’ and validate these in the marketplace.

IoT Boost 2 off to a flying start with seven tech start-ups set to join the cohort

  • Cerberus Laboratories, Cotham Technologies, Inventyourhome, IoTechnics, Lettus Grow, YoUrban and Zoetrope have been announced as the seven companies joining the Internet of Things (IoT) Boost 2 programme
  • The programme is run by SETsquared Bristol and High Tech Bristol and Bath (HBB)
  • The cohort will receive support as they bring the product to market through mentoring, training, expert advice, and access to business networks
