AUTHOR: Dr Laura IH Bennett

Laura is the Head of Enterprise Hub at the Royal Academy of Engineering, overseeing national programmes that support deep tech spinouts (Enterprise Fellowships) and scaleups (Shott Scale Up Accelerator).

With over a decade of experience in designing and delivering incubation and acceleration programmes, she has advised senior policymakers on entrepreneurial ecosystem development. Before joining RAEng, Laura co-led an EU-funded initiative in South Yorkshire, embedding new accelerator programmes in the region. She holds a PhD in entrepreneurial ecosystem development from the University of Sheffield.
