Preparing for series A funding round

“The ICURe programme really gave us the market focus to achieve success. We were talking to lots of people, not asking the right questions and focusing our efforts on a wide target. ICURe encouraged us to narrow our reach and explore short-term goals that would grow our business and test our technology.”

“Our technology was ready for many smaller deployment sites with complex needs, like stadiums, airports and hospitals. As a result, we focused on those as short-term goals and began working on developing larger deployments like smart cities and telecom service providers as a long-term goal.”

“The training and mentoring on the ICURe programme was excellent and it helped us attract venture capitalist funding. We received $2m in funding from two investors, IP Group plc and Breed Reply, and that is allowing us to significantly accelerate our growth plans, enabling us to expand our commercial and technical teams and target new markets.”

“A number of exciting projects are in the pipeline. Firstly we are working with Bristol City Council to deploy NetOS® in their Smart City Testbed called ‘Bristol Is Open’ to create an efficient, integrated and interactive urban environment for the benefit of its citizens.”

“We’ve also partnered with Ashton Gate Stadium to trial our cutting-edge technology to manage their high density Wi-Fi network, in a ‘first-of-a-kind’ deployment within a large stadium.

“In 2017 we won two new projects with the UK Governement as part of their 5G Testbeds and Trials Programme for a total of £1.2m. This included a 5G Smart Tourism and 5G Rural First project. They are part of a £1 billion commitment through the Digital Strategy to keep Britain at the forefront of connectivity by accelerating the deployment of next generation digital infrastructure and driving forward new 5G business opportunities.”

“Looking ahead we are seeking to raise an additional £5m series A funding round towards the end of 2018.”
