Axon was set-up as a development company in March 2006. A study with diabetic patients was published in March 2008. In 2008 Axon proven its business model by bringing private patients online and becoming a supplier to the NHS.

In 2009 it will be delivering a new chronic disease management program for wound care to a Primary Care Trust and roll-outs are anticipated to other PCTs for both the diabetes and wound care software-as-a-service subscription service.
