Launching a new digital tech venture?

Sign up to the fully funded Digital Innovation Business Growth Workshop for some fast track support.

The Digital Innovation Business Acceleration Hub (DBAH) offers bespoke business support and coaching to help innovative companies in the West of England achieve their potential. The enterprise team at SETsquared Bath, who run the programme, have confirmed details of a 2-day interactive growth workshop on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th February 2019 at the Hilton Double Tree Hotel in Bristol City Centre.

The course is fully funded by the European Regional Development Fund and is open to all entrepreneurs or founders of early-stage technology ventures, as well as more experienced entrepreneurs launching a new product or service. The workshop modules will cover essential elements of starting a business such as getting a problem/solution fit, identifying the market opportunity and mapping out your customers.  It will arm delegates with an executive summary, and the strategic elements to deliver a professional pitch deck, a business model and a financial plan. Hands-on and interactive, the programme is delivered by the twice ranked global no.1 business incubator, SETsquared.

Following the two-day programme, entrepreneurs with the strongest business plans may be offered business incubation support with SETsquared. There is also an opportunity to explore potential collaboration with the University of Bath.

Talking about the 2-day workshop, Rosie Bennett from Bath SETsquared highlights the benefits to founders interested in signing up, “The workshop is designed to help organisations assess their business strategy and plan for the next phase of growth. It is led by experienced coaches and sector specialists so is a great opportunity for early-stage founders to stress test their business and market proposition.  There will be sessions on investor readiness and discussions on the pitch process.”

Entrepreneur in Residence, for the DBAH programme, Garry Pratt, goes onto say,

“What makes this 2-day workshop unique is that it is sector specific and offers the opportunity to collaborate with researchers from the University of Bath. The sessions will also include growth planning, legal structures and considerations, market validation and finance options.  The fully funded 2-day workshop programme will cover off a number of key areas so I’d highly recommend that you reserve a place as soon as possible as numbers are limited.”

Applicants can register, here.  Once registered, applicants will be contacted by the DBAH to confirm eligibility.  Places are allocated on the strength of the business case put forward in the application form.

Further information about the 2-day workshop programme can be found, on the SETsquared website, here.

The next 2-day workshop will be focused on Health Digital Innovation and take place in October in Bristol.
