About the Investment Workout

Access to finance is a major barrier to UK SME growth, particularly in new, high-technology sectors like sustainable materials and green chemical technologies. Understanding how to plan and execute a successful investment strategy is a critical success factor for growth.

The two-day interactive course will help you build a strategy for raising seed and venture capital investment from investors managing a sustainability sector-aligned portfolio.

You will be supported by a team of highly experienced mentors with backgrounds in sustainable technology innovation, considering the unique challenges and opportunities within the sector.

Find out more about the team who will support you on this programme.

More about the programme

This course aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complex world of venture funding in the UK.

By the end of the course, you will clearly understand the investment landscape, how to position your company to attract the right type of investor, and how to plan a multi-stage investment campaign to increase the odds of closing your next fundraising round.

The companies who are most “investor ready” following the workout, will be selected to access additional bespoke support from the SETsquared Investment Team and have the opportunity to pitch to investors with a strong interest in the sustainable technologies sector in July.

This programme is in collaboration with iCAST – The Innovation Centre for Applied Sustainable Technologies. Find out more
