SETsquared was one of the selected Investor Partners of Innovate UK’s £80m Future Economy Programme.
The scheme enabled early-stage innovation-led businesses to secure non-dilutable grant funding of up to £900k, for R&D projects aligned to the Future Economies alongside Angel co-investment.
Those invited to apply received professional support from SETsquared to prepare their grant applications to Innovate UK, while their investment opportunities were simultaneously promoted to affiliated angel networks. At the time, there were 12 angel networks involved in the scheme, with the number continuing to grow. These angel investors focused specifically on early-stage, deep tech and science-based business investments.

The programme enabled early-stage innovation-led businesses to raise non-dilutive grant funding of up to £900k for R&D projects, alongside Angel co-investment.
It builds on the success of both the Future Economy Fund and the Regional Angel Investment Accelerator (RAIA), through which SETsquared has supported 31 companies in raising more than £19m in equity investment, alongside Innovate UK funding.
