Q. Why is the Workout offered for free?
A. We can offer the Workout completely free of charge to eligible businesses in Bath, North and North East Somerset, Bristol, and South Gloucestershire because the programme has been funded by the West of England Combined Authority (WECA). The actual cost of a place is £2,020, so this is a fantastic opportunity to get some expert support for your business.
There are no hidden costs or charges further down the line.
Q. Should I take part on my own or as a team?
A. For the Business Strategy Workout we can have up to 3 members per company. For the Workout we strongly recommend working in teams of up to 3, so you can bounce ideas off each other.
No special software is required, and you don’t even need to be in the same room to participate as a team, as it’s all delivered online and breakout rooms will be created so that you can collaborate as a team.
Numbers are limited at each Workout to ensure that each participant gets a high level of training and dedicated time with mentors.
Q. Do I need to attend the entire duration of the Workout, or can I drop in/out?
A. Participants will need to attend the entire duration of the workout to best benefit from the expertise of our mentors and learning available. Each session builds on each other over the duration of the Workout. Between days there will be tasks set to aid discussions and mentoring the next day – these will be specific to your business and its challenges or needs.
Q. After attending the Workout what happens next? Can we join SETsquared and access further support?
A. After attending one of our workouts, we will signpost you to other SETsquared programmes where appropriate. For instance, businesses that have completed the Business Strategy Workout might be invited to join our Scale-Up Programme to help your business raise public and private investment.
Workouts are also a great opportunity for networking and forging relationships with other businesses at the same stage as yours.
Q. To involve more team members, can we simply pass the link you will send on to them, or do they have to register with you prior to joining?
A. All attendees will need to register for our workouts, including those from the same business. Our workouts are interactive, and we limit numbers to ensure the quality of the sessions.
Q. Will the sessions involve discussion of the finances of the company?
A. Our experts will not discuss your business’ finances and will not share information about your business outside of the workout without your permission.
