Brain-in-Hand

The company has developed a mobile communications technology (“Brain-in-Hand”) to assist people who have impaired executive function of the brain to live more independent lives. This includes a web server and mobile software app for handheld SmartPhone with the necessary security and encryption of data to ensure confidentiality in use.

The initial therapeutic areas addressed include Autism, Acquired Brain Injury, Ischemic Stroke and Early Stage Dementia. The technology will be adapted for additional areas of research and support in therapeutic areas related to behaviour, mood and independent living.

The company is also developing methods of organisation, education and training to ensure maximum efficacy of implementation of the technology encompassing: Individuals and their personal organisation Organisational Behaviour in support organisations Organisations in which an individual may work or study Families and other social groups The company is about to start an extensive collaborative trial with Devon Partnership NHS Trust covering a number of therapeutic areas including Asperger’s Syndrome and brain injury, with the possibility of extending the trial to other therapeutic areas.
