Farrow Creative Limited

A graphic design and marketing agency specialising in digital media and branding, Farrow Creative opened its doors in Petersfield in 2006. For Sam, starting her own business was the culmination of almost 20 years’ experience as professional graphic designer, which included stints at Surrey County Council and Meridian Television, and teaching typography at Kingston University.

In 2011, Sam moved into the Business Acceleration Centre.
“Now we’re on the Surrey Technology Park, we’re in an environment specifically created to help businesses like ours make the most of their potential, “ she says. “It’s a real hotbed of creativity, energy and entrepreneurial spirit – all the things we’ve always stood for and strived to embody in our own approach.”

Being surrounded by fast-growing, technology-based companies fits well with Sam’s ambitions for the agency. Having started out in traditional graphic design, she’s concentrated on taking the business into the digital and new-media sectors.

“There will always be a place for printed materials, and the principles of good design apply whatever the medium,” she says. “But we were very quick to recognise the benefits of going digital for our clients. Although we’re a small company, we’ve developed a wide range of capabilities in-house, and also have a trusted group of highly talented people we can call on to bring specialist skills and knowledge we may require.”

Sam and the team have already completed major projects for a number of prominent clients in Guildford. On the design front, they’ve created a new corporate identity, stationery and document templates for the Daphne Jackson Trust, and a corporate events brochure for Guildford Cathedral. They’ve also carried out a complete brand overhaul for Bernard Sims Associates, the UK’s leading independent health and safety consultancy, which has its head office in the city and presentation material for Thomson Ecology based here on the Park.
