Living Systems Technology

– In vivo models form an essential component to research in the life science and healthcare sector. These models can lack predictive capability and are expensive, time consuming, and ethically contentious being based on mammalian, primarily rodent, systems.

– Living Systems Technology provides non-mammalian systems which address scientific need whilst minimising the regulatory burden and ethical issues concerning the use of mammals. Our alternative systems are cheaper, capable of increasing statistical power, results can be obtained more quickly and are ethically acceptable.

The proposed alternative models will not replace mammalian models in entirety but will provide a scientifically robust, straightforward, and cost effective adjunct that will reduce dependence upon animal studies as currently undertaken.
