Despite some of the most established screening programmes globally over half a million women die each year from breast cancer.Yet we know if breast cancer is detected early enough (while it is less than 1cm in size and hasn’t spread)survival rates at 5 years are similar to a woman who has never had breast cancer. We think this is reason enough to develop a new breast imaging modality that can be used safely in women from a young age and a frequently as necessary.
