Retinascan is an early stage software development company founded by Dr Nathan Hill focused on retinal screening. Nathan received his D.Phil from Oxford University in medical mathematics in Diabetes and has 14 years of experience working in the field. He wrote the current guidelines on automated retinal image screening for the NHS. Retinascan was established to hold the intellectual property in the design and codebase for a system and matched mark-up tool using a sophisticated novel approach to analysing funduscopic images for the purpose of detecting diabetic retinopathy (DR) based on advanced pattern detection algorithms.
