Utonomy was founed in May 2015 by Adam Kingdon, who was previously CEO and Founder of i2O Water, a leading specialist in pressure optimisation in water networks, whose revenues he grew to £6m (€7.8m). Senior managers also have experience in telecom software and market development for smart meters for energy and water. The company further consists of hardware and software engineers developing the Active Grid Management.
