mytender.io announce £250,000 pre-seed raise

mytender.io (Future Worlds Cohort 25) has announced a £250,000 pre-seed fundraise, the largest investment so far for a startup founded by current undergraduates at the University of Southampton. The investment was led by Fuel Ventures and was the fastest deal close the firm has ever made.

Co-founded by current University of Southampton undergraduates Jamie Horsnell and Samuel Aaron, mytender.io is an AI-driven bid writing platform making the creation of procurement bids quicker, easier and of a higher quality, winning public sector contractors’ bids efficiently. mytender.io products are already being used by over 20 customers focused on the construction and facilities management sectors, providing a bid-writing advantage over their competitors.

Commenting on the investment, Samuel Aaron, co-founder of mytender.io said: “We are excited to bring more customers in on our mission to make bid writing a more efficient process, empowering bid teams to perform at higher levels, and winning work in a more effective manner. The investment will allow us to develop the world’s first end-to-end agentic bid writing system that accommodates the nuances of each unique user, delivering exceptional quality, whilst scaling our rapidly growing business development activities – all whilst having fun.”

Mark Pearson, Managing Partner at Fuel Ventures, said: “Samuel and Jamie have demonstrated impressive ambition and innovation with mytender.io. Their unique approach to automating bid writing with AI has the potential to significantly disrupt the industry, and we are excited to support them in realising this vision.”

Dr Alice Iles, Head of Tech Acceleration for Future Worlds, added “We’re really impressed by the rapid progress that the mytender.io team have made, it’s a testament to the hard work and long hours they are putting in to build their startup and it’s great that they’ll have the backing of Fuel Ventures as they go into the Future Worlds Demo Day in June.”

Jamie and Samuel will shortly be joining this year’s Future Worlds Cohort visit to the San Francisco Bay Area. The trip includes meetings with Founders, Investors and Accelerators in the Future Worlds network in Silicon Valley, and this year includes attending the Startup Grind Conference with over 3000 other startups.

mytender.io has previously been supported by Future Worlds and has participated in SETsquared Investment Showcases, underlining their continued momentum within the UK’s startup ecosystem.
