WORLD LEADING BUSINESS SUPPORT

The DRIVE35 (Driving Research and Investment in Vehicle Electrification) Scale-Up Fund is a major, ongoing grant funding programme from the Department for Business and Trade, delivered by the Advanced Propulsion Centre and Innovate UK, designed to accelerate UK innovation in zero-emission vehicle technologies.
It offers funding to help UK companies scale up manufacturing and industrialise advanced propulsion technologies. Hydrogen is in scope when applied to vehicles, such as in fuel-cell integration, hydrogen storage, and thermal or energy management systems.
GW-SHIFT is offering eligible companies (alongside an academic collaborator) funded support to bid for a share of this £150m funding opportunity.
The funding is open to businesses developing on-vehicle hydrogen technologies and academics from the seven GW-SHIFT universities (Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Swansea, University of South Wales, and Plymouth).
Consortia must include both industrial and academic partners.
To apply for support for your DRIVE35 bid, please complete the Expression of Interest form below.
If you’re not interested in the DRIVE35 fund specifically but are looking for funding and support for your business, please still complete the form, and we’ll get in contact about alternative routes.
If you would like to have an informal discussion before applying, please contact Yuchen Gu, Campaign Lead, email: [email protected]
